Our team

Allison Gordon

From 1992 through 2002, Allison worked for Goldman, Sachs & Co. as the senior member of a team of professionals responsible for developing and managing more than $1 billion in client assets.  She was known for her expertise in managing high-level client relationships and for developing investment strategies and advising clients on risk management. After leaving Goldman, Sachs, Allison became the co-Executive Director of Ouko Community Initiatives (OCI), an economic and social development project in Kenya, East Africa. Her passion to improve the lives of children in impoverished areas of Kenya germinated in 1989 when she was awarded a Rotary Fellowship to live and study in East Africa.

Allison has worked as an interior designer on residential and commercial projects since 2011, designing some of Boston’s most unique spaces.

A graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Wellesley College, she received joint Bachelor of Arts and Science degrees in economics and political science. She also received her MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management and her Masters Degree from Harvard University Graduate School of Design. Allison has lived, worked, studied or traveled in more than 50 countries around the world, and brings her knowledge of architecture, crafts, furnishings, culture and design to inspire her interiors. Allison is committed to creating spaces that function well and reflect the personalities of the people using them, exploring with her clients how their spaces support their lives and enable meaningful rituals for their families, coworkers or guests.

Our goal is to make the design process a fabulous experience. Whether its finding just the right place to hang your child’s art, or working with you and/or internationally renowned art buyers to curate and exhibit art you own or want to purchase, AGD understands the value, beauty and joy that comes from both.  Our goal is to bring your house to life in a way that exhibits your joy, interests and tastes. We strive for our work to be a reflection of the unique ways in which you live, work and play. Our process is tailor made for each client.  Some want to be involved in every detail, traveling to the Paris flea markets to select just the right piece, and others prefer that we deliver a completed project without significant involvement from them.
